Dorothea Jordan was a successful actress in the mid 17th Century.  Before being on stage she was know as a beautiful courtesan.  Dorothea was the long-time mistress of Prince William, Duke of Clarence.

Dorothea was the most admired comic and Shakespearean actress of her time. The Washing post reported on her performances
